Jennifer Stano has transformed her personal journey into a powerful mission, launching Original Self (OGSLF), a company dedicated to women who have chosen to embrace their natural selves. WHY SHE CREATED THE OG BRA
Stano explains: “As a young girl growing up in Westchester, New York, I was painfully aware of my flat chest. The teasing from boys in middle school left me in tears more times than I can count. My mother, who faced similar struggles, would sew padding into my bras just as my great-grandmother had done for her. These early experiences planted the seeds for my search for confidence and self-acceptance.”
“At 18, I saved up for a breast augmentation, convinced that implants would give me the confidence I needed. For 15 years, I loved my implants and the confidence they provided. However, as time passed, I began experiencing health issues that I could no longer ignore. The decision to explant was not easy, but I chose my health over aesthetics and never looked back.”
THE BIRTH OF THE OG BRA
Post-explant, Stano found that the market lacked bras that catered to the unique needs of women like herself. Traditional bras failed to accommodate the new shape of her breasts. This frustration led Stano to create the OG Bra — a modern solution to an age-old problem.
